In order to disconnect the appliance completely from the
power supply, pull the plug from the socket. Always pull the
plug, never the cable.
Appliances left connected to the mains power supply during
thunderstorms may be damaged. Therefore, always remove
the mains plug if there is a thunderstorm.
If the product has been moved from a cold room to a warm
room, wait before connecting it to the power supply. The re-
sulting condensation may damage the product. The appli-
ance can be operated safely as soon as it has reached room
temperature.
Repairs to the appliance or mains cable should only be car-
ried by a specialist workshop or our Service Centre. The user
may be subject to serious risks if repairs are not carried out by
a qualified person.

4.3. Setting up the appliance safely
Never place the appliance on the edge of a table - it could tip
over and fall.
Ensure a clearance of 5cm on all sides between the appliance
and surrounding objects.
Set up the appliance with a distance of at least 5 cm to the
wall to avoid hazards.
Do not place anything on the appliance. Do not use the appli-
ance outside.
Never use the appliance in damp or very dusty rooms.
Do not place the appliance directly next to a gas or electric
stove or next to another hot oven.
Place the appliance on a sturdy, level surface. Ensure that the
ventilation slots are not covered (e.g. by magazines, curtains,
tablecloths, etc.) so that adequate ventilation is guaranteed.
Ensure that the appliance is not exposed to direct sources of
heat (e.g. radiators).
