1) TIMER LED. Lights up when the timer has been set.
2) GRINDER LED. Lights up when the grinder is switched off.

9) STRENGTH button. For setting the strength of the coffee based on the vol-
ume of water.

11) TIMER button. For starting the coffee machine at a preset time.
7. Initial operation and use
Rinse out the glass jug thoroughly before using it for the first time.
Connect the coffee machine to a 220–240V ~, 50Hz mains socket.
Clean the coffee machine by carrying out three brewing processes using only
water, without any coffee or filter (see “7.2.2. Brewing process using coffee pow-
der” on page 30).
The filter holder has a handle for removal. The handle on the filter insert can be
conveniently pulled out using the plastic tab on the front of the filter holder.
Allow the coffee machine to cool down for approx. 5 minutes after every brew-
ing process.
