3-6. Preventive Maintenance Tasks
a. Cleaning
The following paragraphs provide cleaning instructions for the Large Field Refrigeration System
and associated components.
(1) Cleaning the Container Exterior. Wash with soap and water. Hard bristle brushes may be
used, scratch pads or metallic bristle brushes are not recommended.
(2) Cleaning the Container Interior. Wash with soap and water. Hard bristle brushes may be
used, scratch pads or metallic bristle brushes are not recommended.
b. Inspect
Carry out inspection of the Large Field Refrigeration System and associated components as
follows:
(1) Generally inspect all metal parts, as applicable, for breaks, cracks, nicks, gouges, scoring,
stripped or crossed threads, corrosion, distortion, pitting and other obvious damage. Inspect
all fabric for tears, wear, and other obvious damage.
