Step Probable Cause Remedy
4 Liquid slugging. Refer to section 3-10b(10).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 5.
5 Insufficient oil. Refer to section 3-10b(5)(e).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step h (2).
(2) Condenser or evaporator fan.
Step Probable Cause Remedy
1 Condenser or Evaporator Fan: Bent, loose or
striking venturi.
Check and adjust venturi IAW 3-10b(8).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 2.
2 Worn motor bearings. Refer to section 3-10b(8) and 3-10b(11).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 3.
3 Bent motor shaft. Refer to section 3-10b(8) and 3-10b(11).
t. Controller malfunction.
(1) Will not control.
Step Probable Cause Remedy
1 Defective sensor. Refer to section 3-10b(19).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 2.
2 Defective wiring. Check wiring.
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 3.
3 Fuse (F1, F2) blown. Inspect F1 and F2 Fuses IAW 3-10b(18)(t)
Replace fuse as necessary IAW
3-10b(18)(u)
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 4.
4 Stepper motor suction modulation valve circuit
malfunction.
Refer to section 3-10b(14).
