Step Probable Cause Remedy
7 Loose terminal connections. Tighten.
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 8.
8 Low line voltage. Refer to table 1-1.
If fault is not corrected proceed to step e (1).
p. Unit will not terminate heating.
(1) Unit fails to stop heating.
Step Probable Cause Remedy
1 Controller improperly set. Reset.
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 2.
2 Controller malfunction. Refer to section 3-10b(11)(i).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 3.
3 Heater termination thermostat remains closed
along with the heat relay.
Refer to section 3-10b(11).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step f (1).
q. Unit will not defrost properly.
(1) Will not initiate defrost automatically.
Step Probable Cause Remedy
1 Will not initiate defrost automatically: Defrost
timer malfunction (Cd27).
Refer to table 2-5.
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 2.
2 Loose terminal connections. Tighten.
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 3.
3 Defective wiring. Repair or replace IAW wiring diagram.
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 4.
4 Defrost temperature sensor defective or heat
termination thermostat open.
Check for defective defrost temperature
probe IAW 3-10b(11)(d).
If necessary, replace defrost temperature
sensor IAW 3-10b(11)(d)1.
Check heat termination thermostat IAW 3-
10b(17)(b).
If necessary, replace heat termination
thermostat IAW 3-10b(18)(o).
If fault is not corrected proceed to step 5.
