Remember the "functions" tab is simply a graphical "matrix" editor. Anything you can create must be
stored to a Function memory and recalled or applied to activate.
The "computer on R1/R2" options are only available if "Latch" is selected. The "TX on R1/R2" options
are only available if "Monitor" is selected. The Stereo selections are an "override" that is applied only
if the logging program issues a "Stereo" directive (e.g., LPT pin 9 in NA or the "Stereo" command
from a program that supports the microHAM protocol). The "Fixed" settings are used only if the Auto
box is not checked for Headphone Switching (the other seven lines are ignored).
By Pete, N4ZR: I wanted to be able to use N1MMs FocusOther function to control where the entry
focus was when I was transmitting on one radio or the other. The greyed−out options for Computer
TX on R1 and R2 get in the way of that. If you uncheck Latch in the Headphone Switching area,
that disables those choices and lets N1MM be the boss.
Manual TX on R1/2: the ability to listen to sidetone when sending paddle CW = to hear sidetone in
both ears when sending manually.
Saving you work
Save settings to a preset by selecting menu Preset | Save as. Choose a position and name it
(example): N1MM−all modes.
Note: Each of the tabs is complex enough to warrant careful attention. Incidentally, it is always a good
idea to save your last working setup as a Preset, so that you can retrieve the situation if you mess up.
It also makes sense to save your experiments.
It is needed to leave router running as it's the spider in the web for our SO2R setup.
