^A ^D COMMAND
21 Change SW1: Software DIP Switch #1. The DIP switch commands may use
either the ^A(decimal) or ^AB(binary) value. Since each bit represents a setting for
the printer, the soft switches are always reported in binary.
For example: ^AB10100001^D21<CR> configures serial port #1 for text equivalent
enquiry responses, accept control codes, disables echo, and enables XON/XOFF
flow control.
^AB12345678 (each bit is represented by a numeric position number)
Position:
1,2 Enquiry Response: This determines what the printer will send back in
response to an enquiry command.
00 = Control Codes
10 = Text Equivalent
11 = ^ Equivalent
3 Control Codes: This position is used to set the printer’s handling of
control codes.
1 = Ignore Control Codes
0 = Accept Control Codes
4 Port #1 Parity Selection: Sets the printer port #1 parity for serial
communication.
1 = Odd Parity
0 = Even Parity
5 Port #1 Parity Enable: Sets the printer’s port #1 parity enable for serial
communication.
1 = No Parity
0 = Enable Parity
6 Echo: If this feature is enabled, the printer will echo all received
characters to the serial port.
1 = Enable
0 = Disable
7 Port #1 Data Bits: Sets the printer’s port #1 data bits for serial
communication.
1 = 8 Data Bits
0 = 7 Data Bits
8 XON/XOFF Flow Control: Sets software flow control handshaking.
CTS/RTS hardware handshaking is always enabled.
1 = Enable
0 = Disable
