7 PHY Loopback 1 = Perform PHY loopback. Loop back path is as
follows:
Example
Set Port 1 PHY Loopback (Reg. 31, Bit[7] = (‘1’)
Use the Port 2 as monitor port. The packets will
transfer.
Start: Port 2 receiving (also can start from Port 3, 4,
5).
Loopback: PMD/PMA of Port 1’s PHY
End: Port 2 transmitting (also can end at Ports 3, 4,
5 respectively).
Setting Reg. 47, 63, 79, 95, Bit[7] = ‘1’ will perform
PHY loopback on Port 2, 3, 4, 5 respectively.
0 = Normal Operation.

6 Reserved N/A Don’t Change RO 0
5 PHY Isolate 1 = Electrical isolation of PHY from the internal MII
and TX+/TX.
0 = Normal operation.
