Important Safety Information
These warnings are provided in the interests of your safety. Ensure that you understand them all
before installing or using FROSTMED. Your safety is of paramount importance. If you are unsure
about any of the meanings or these warnings contact the Customer Care Department (Section 8
of this User Manual).
This User Manual applies to the following models:
• FROSTMED PRO G1 and FROSTMED PRO G2
• FROSTMED LITE G1 and FROSTMED LITE G2
• FROSTMED LITE CV G2 and FROSTMED LITE CV G2.
Intended Use
FROSTMED is a cooling device produced by FROSTIME LLC. FROSTMED utilizes compressed liquid
CO
2
as coolant instead of ice, dry-ice, gel packs or phase change materials and it is available in the
3-above models.
When placed in an insulated container, FROSTMED is used to transport temperature sensitive
biological/medical materials for short distance (the so called “Last Mile”). The desired temperature
range is set using a FROSTMED app available for iOS and Android devices.
Cooling lasting time of one set of two fully charged CO
2
canisters varies from 10 up to 40 hours
according to several external parameters (as specified in Section 6) which are not under
FROSTMED control. See Section 6 for some usage examples.
FROSTMED allows to track, log and report over a period of time the temperature inside the
insulated container where it is placed.
FROSTMED intended uses include, but are not limited to:
• Cold chain transport of vaccines, insulin, medicines and specimens requiring specific
temperatures.
• Cold chain transport of blood and blood products requiring specific temperatures.
• Cold chain transport of organs requiring specific temperatures.
• Emergency storage of the above in the event of power failures.
• Cold storage of the above for areas afflicted by disaster.
• Cold storage of the above for remote areas with little or no infrastructure.
Prior to Installation
Check FROSTMED for transportation damage. Under no circumstances should a damaged
FROSTMED be installed. In the event of damage please contact the place of purchase.
