4.3 BASIC NETWORK MONITORING

Basic monitoring of a MiWi protocol network is nearly identical to that of a ZigBee pro-

tocol network. Please review section Section 3.3 “Basic Network Monitoring”. This

section will focus on the differences between the two protocols.

Select MiWi Tools> Network Traffic Monitor

to perform real-time network monitoring or

packet analysis of a MiWi protocol network. The fundamental MiWi Network Monitor

window is nearly identical to the ZigBee Network Monitor window.

MiWi protocol beacons have a slightly different format from ZigBee protocol beacons,

as shown in this sequence of a device joining a network.
