During PWM operation, when the output stage is
turned-on, large voltage peaks might appear across

, which can wrongly trigger the input comparator. To
avoid an unstable current control, an external R

ter should be used that delays the comparator action.
Depending on load type, many applications will not
require this filter (SENSE connected to COMPIN).
