20.0 COMPARATOR MODULE
The comparator module provides three comparators
that can be configured in different ways. As shown in
Figure 20-1, individual comparator options are
specified by the comparator module’s Special Function
Register (SFR) control bits.
These options allow users to:
Select the edge for trigger and interrupt generation
Select low-power control
Configure the comparator voltage reference and
band gap
Configure output blanking and masking
The comparator operating mode is determined by the
input selections (i.e., whether the input voltage is
compared to a second input voltage) to an internal
voltage reference.

Note 1: This data sheet summarizes the features
of the dsPIC33FJ16(GP/MC)101/102
and dsPIC33FJ32(GP/MC)101/102/104
device families. It is not intended to be a
comprehensive reference source. To
complement the information in this data
sheet, refer to “Comparator with Blank-
ing” (DS70647) in the “dsPIC33/PIC24
Family Reference Manual”, which is
available from the Microchip web site
(www.microchip.com).
2: Some registers and associated bits
described in this section may not be
available on all devices. Refer to
Section 4.0 “Memory Organization” in
this data sheet for device-specific register
and bit information.
