CM STATUS BLOCK
The I
2
CM TAG/CCMND bytes are used by the host (software) to describe an I
2
C trans-
action in ‘script’ form. The script is sent via USB to the script buffer (CBUF1) and inter-
preted by the COMM controller to execute the transaction on the I
2
C bus. The return
data stream contains I
2
C read data as well as ‘event marker’ TAGs that mark the
occurrence of each entity of the I
2
C transaction (e.g., TAG: 0x81 indicates a “Start” bit).
