Summary
This application note describes the implementation of
Machine-to-Machine communications over a CDMA network
using Microchip's PIC32 M2M Development Kit. The kit has
a variety of on-board sensors and interfaces to allow the
designer to tailor the solution for a specific application. It
enables designers to develop on a standard 32-bit platform
to collect data, share locally over 10/100 Ethernet and MiWi
and communicate to a cloud application.

Summary
Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technologies allow both wireless
and wired systems to communicate with other devices of
the same ability. This application note describes an M2M
reference design that enables the implementation of GSM/
GPRS/GPS connectivity using a PIC32 microcontroller,
the Microchip M2M PICtail Plus Daughter Board and the
Multimedia Expansion Board.
