37.5.26.15Receive Symbol Errors Register

• RSE: Receive Symbol Errors
An 8-bit register counting the number of frames that had rx_er asserted during reception. Receive symbol errors are also
counted as an FCS or alignment error if the frame is between 64 and 1518 bytes in length (1536 if bit 8 is set in the network con-
figuration register). If the frame is larger, it is recorded as a jabber error.

• EXL: Excessive Length Errors
An 8-bit register counting the number of frames received exceeding 1518 bytes (1536 if bit 8 set in network configuration register)
in length but do not have either a CRC error, an alignment error nor a receive symbol error.
