37.10.3 Embedded Flash Characteristics

The maximum operating frequency is given in Table 37-24 but is limited by the Embedded Flash access time when the pro-

cessor is fetching code out of it. Table 37-24 gives the device maximum operating frequency depending on the FWS field of

the MC_FMR register. This field defines the number of wait states required to access the Embedded Flash Memory.

Notes: 1. FWS = Flash Wait States

2. It is not necessary to use 2 or 3 wait states because the flash can operate at maximum frequency with only 1 wait state.
