4-6 Load Setup Defaults

The “LOAD SETUP DEFAULTS” function loads the system default data directly from ROM

and initializes the associated hardware properly. This function will be necessary only when

the system CMOS data is corrupted.

Note: If you do not use the onboard IDE connectors, then you will need to set

Onboard Primary PCI IDE: Disabled and Onboard secondary PCI IDE :

Disabled. The onboard PCI IDE cable should be equal to or less than 18

inches (45cm).

IDE HDD Block Mode: IDE Block Mode allows the controller to access blocks of sectors

rather than a single sector at a time. The default is Enabled.

Enabled: Enabled IDE HDD Block Mode. Provides higher HDD transfer rates.

Disabled: Disabled IDE HDD Block Mode.
