CHECKING GAS PRESSURE
Testallgasjointsfromthegasmetertotheheatervalveforleaks
usingagasanalyzerorsoapandwatersolutionaftercompleting
connection. DO NOT USE AN OPEN FLAME.
Checkthegaspressurewiththeapplianceburningandthecontrol
set to HIGH.
Opencontrolaccessdooratbottomfrontofunittondvalveand
regulatorreferredtobelow.
MANUAL CONTROL (Figure 28)
The pressure regulator is preset and locked to dis-
couragetampering.Ifthepressureisnotasspecied,
replacetheregulatorwiththecorrectpartfromtheparts
list in this manual.
Remove1/8"NPTplug,locatedonsideofregulator
body.Installttingandtubingtopressuregauge.After
takingpressurereading,reinstalltestplug.Checkfor
gasleaks.
MILLIVOLT CONTROL (Figure 30)
Thevalveregulatorcontrolstheburnerpressurewhich
should be checked at the pressure test point.
Turn captured screw counter clockwise two or three
turnsandthenplacetubingtopressuregaugeovertest
point.(Usetestpoint“A”closesttogasinlet).After
taking pressure reading, be sure and turn captured
screwclockwisermlytoreseal.Donotovertorque.
Checkforgasleaks.

THERMOSTAT CONTROL (Figure 29)
Turn captured screw counter clockwise two or three
turnsandthenplacetubingtopressuregaugeovertest
point (Use test point closest to control knob). After
taking pressure reading, be sure and turn captured
screwclockwisermlytoreseal.Donotovertorque.
Checkforgasleaks.
