Check the engine oil level. See your engine Owner’s Manual for procedure and specifications. Check to make sure spark plug wire is attached and spark plug is tightened securely. If necessary, torque spark plug to 15 ft. lbs. Check the fuel supply.
OPERATION OPERATING THE TURBO BROOM BRUSH ANGLE ADJUSTMENT See Figure 4 Brush Swivel Controls. WARNING! To avoid personal injury, do not adjust the angle of the broom head while the brush is rotating. To change the angle of the brush: 1. 2. 3. WARNING! Figure 3 Controls Always engage speed control before engaging broom drive. Always release the broom drive before disengaging the speed control or broom contact may push unit backwards 4. Stop all broom rotation.
OPERATION BRUSH HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT CAUTION! If brush height is set too low, the brush can drive the machine rearward when attachment clutch is engaged. Engage brush slowly with brush set at proper height. For hard surfaces, adjust the caster wheels so that the brush just touches surface. The brush works best with the brush properly leveled. To adjust the brush height: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Move the brush to a dusty, flat surface. Leave the engine running. Start the brush at a slow speed.
ADJUSTMENTS AND SERVICE SPEED SELECTOR LEVER ADJUSTMENT The Speed Selector Levers are adjusted at the factory to provide the optimum control over forward and reverse movement. WARNING! Improper adjustment of the Speed Selector Lever cables may result in unexpected movement of the unit when started. Contact you dealer before making any adjustments. If one of the Speed Selector Lever cables requires adjustment, locate the Speed Control Bracket (Figure 8) on the side of the transaxle.
ADJUSTMENTS AND SERVICE SHEAR BOLT REPLACEMENT DANGER! Do not go near the broom when the engine is running. Do not run the engine with any cover or guard removed. 4.
