In terms of energy-saving, we distinguish between primary
energy consumption (equipment manufacture) and secondary
energy consumption (by the equipment itself). Here are some

Metz TVs are also equipped to save energy in everyday use.
Therefore, it makes sense always to activate the “adapt to
ambient light” setting. This feature enables the screen to be
continuously adjusted by the intelligent automatic contrast
control to suit the ambient light. This is easier on the eyes –
and the wallet. Energy consumption is thereby signi cantly
reduced by up to 50 % with no reduction in picture quality.
Metz is one of the few television manufacturers to provide
a genuine on/o switch. This means that the television
is completely isolated from the power supply by a mains
switch, thus preventing energy consumption while it is
turned o .
