16 - Timer
The timer is a tool that allows the receiver to switch ON on a specific channel at a programmed
time, for scheduled recordings. Caution, the wake up of the digital satellite receiver doesn’t
launch the recording on the VCR. Don’t forget to program a timer on your VCR too !
Important notice : some TV set will wake up automatically when the satellite receiver will wake
up. In order to avoid this, simply switch off the TV with the manual switch generally located on
the front panel.
To program a recording :
• Go to MENU / Time / Programming
•
On the line Programmer number, leave 1 if it is your first programming, or choose the first
free timer if you have programmed timer.
•
On the line Channel, press OK to display channel list and select the channel you want to
record.

On the line Periodicity, leave Single for a single recording. S
elect Every day for a daily
recording per same hour, Every Week for recording every monday at 20.50 for example, or Monthly
for recording every month.
•
On the line Programming type, select Recording. You can choose a single Lighting or a
single Extinction.
•
On the line Activation, select YES.
•
Enter the date on the lines Day and Month, as well as the lighting time, and the duration of
recording.
•
Press several times on EXIT key to save and exit.
Also program your VCR.
