Relational Data Base
The API (Application Programming Interface) is a description of the ProductInfo protocol that enables the host computer to
communicate with ScanVue. It is not a physical piece of hardware. Both ends of the API are physically the same piece of
software.
ScanVue only performs 3 functions:
1. Scan the product UPC (barcode) and send it to the HOST computer across the network.
2. Accept the response from the HOST and display the information appropriately
3. Automatically download a slideshow from the HOST and play it.
