6.28 844 UV/VIS Compact IC
6.28.1 844 UV/VIS Compact IC features
The Metrohm 844 UV/VIS Compact IC is a PC-controlled system
for ion chromatographic analyses with UV/VIS detection. The four
following versions are available:
• 2.844.0010 UV/VIS Compact IC
• 2.844.0020 UV/VIS Compact IC with post column reactor
• 2.844.0110 UV/VIS Compact IC with column heating
• 2.844.0120 UV/VIS Compact IC with post column reactor
and column heating
All parts of the 844 UV/VIS Compact IC like injection valve, high-
pressure pump, UV/VIS detector, peristaltic pump, are fully con-
trolled by the «IC Net» program. This program also enables the
operation of more than one 844 UV/VIS Compact IC with one PC.
The 844 UV/VIS Compact IC is normally connected either directly
to a PC COM port or to the 830 IC Interface using the 6.2134.100
connecting cable.

6.28.2 844 UV/VIS Compact IC icon
When you click with the right mouse button on the instrument
icon, you will see the following menu:
Open Opens the window for System Settings.
Hardware
Opens the window for Hardware Settings.
Spectrum window
Opens the SPECTRUM WINDOW.
Unlink Unlink device from the system.

844 icon / Open
The 844 UV/VIS Compact IC window for parameter settings is ope-
ned by selecting this menu option with the right mouse button or
by clicking the
844 icon on the toolbar. It consists of the four tabs
Manual, Program, Configuration, and Links.
