The 805 Dosimat and the corresponding 806 Exchange Unit are suitable as a buret not only for simply dosing auxiliary solutions but also for titrations. 1.

Keep this packaging, as only this ensures safe transportation of the instrument. 3.1.2 Checks Immediately after receipt, check whether the shipment has arrived complete and without damage by comparing it with the delivery note. 3.1.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ 3.2 Connecting the 805 Dosimat Warning Connect the 805 Dosimat only to control devices which have been switched off beforehand. The control device will only be able to recognize the Dosimat during the switch-on sequence. Observe the alignment of the connection socket. Never use excessive force to plug in the connection cable! Doing so could damage the device electronics.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ 4 Working with the exchange unit 4 Working with the exchange unit The 806 exchange unit has an integrated data chip which allows to save data for the exchange unit and for the reagent. The data is being edited in the Touch Control or in the PC software. The assembly of the exchange unit is described in the manual for the 806 exchange unit.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ To attach the exchange unit, proceed as follows: 1 Slide the exchange unit from the front onto the 805 Dosimat and push all the way to the rear, so that it snaps in and the LED Status flashes slowly. It must snap in audibly. If the exchange unit is attached correctly, its initialization is being activated by a micro switch which is triggered by the guide bolts of the exchange unit. The exchange unit is being recognized and the data is being read automatically from the data chip.

Take care to ensure however that it is not exposed to any excessive contamination nor to any corrosive influences. These could under certain circumstances result in functional disruptions and a reduction in the service life of the inherently sturdy mechanics and electronics.
5.2 Quality Management and validation with Metrohm ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Caution Take care to ensure that the contact pins do not become contaminated. Wipe off any contaminations at once. In the event of more serious contamination, you can use a moist cloth (possibly with a small amount of dishwashing detergent or ethanol). 5.1.

Data chip mechanically damaged or impaired by chemicals. ■ Connection between Dosimat and control device is interrupted or an error has occurred on the Dosimat. ■ The exchange unit has not correctly been attached. ■ Dosimat cannot be actuated by the control device. Exchange unit recognized either not at all or incorrectly.
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ Problem 6 Troubleshooting Cause Remedy The data of the exchange unit cannot be read because the data chip has been damaged mechanically or by chemicals. Have the data chip being replaced by the Metrohm service.Until the data chip is being replaced you can remove the data chip yourself in order to be able to still use the exchange unit. The cylinder volume is automatically recognized nevertheless, but no data can be read from the exchange unit or be saved on it anymore.

It is being dosed or filled and/or the Dosimat is not in the exchange position. Stop the run or carry out a "filling". The exchange unit cannot be removed from the Dosimat. Piston and/or flat stopcock are not in filling position. ■ ■ The flat stopcock is blocked. The flat stopcock is contaminated, corroded or worn out.
