4.3 Troubles with a connected printer
Problem Questions for remedial action
No characters can be received
on a connected printer.
Are the instruments switched on and the connection
cables plugged in properly?
Is the printer set to "on-line" and (if necessary) to
"serial"?
Is the handshake set properly?
If everything appears to be in order, try to print out a
report with the key sequence <PRINT><PARAM>
<ENTER>. If this report is printed out correctly, check
whether under the key <CONFIG>, >Oven settings, a
report is preselected.
No data transmission occurs
and the display of the Oven
shows an error message.
E40-42: Transmission error. Is the cable properly
wired and connected? Is the printer switched on and
set to "on-line"?
E43: Data output of the Oven disabled for longer than
3 s by XOFF.
The received characters are
garbled.
Are the data bit and parity settings the same for both
devices?
Is the baud rate setting the same for both devices?
Has the correct printer been selected?
