Remote control
Remote control
There are two remote control methods:
User-programmable
The user can control the oscilloscope using Standard Commands for
Programmable Instruments (SCPI). See the Programming Guide for more
information about the commands and the programming.
The user can control the oscilloscope remotely using EasyScopeX or SX-
DOX PC software. National Instruments Corporation's "Measurement &
Automation Explorer" software can also be used to control the oscilloscope.
Using the PC software
provided by METRIX
The oscilloscope can communicate with a PC via its USB device port. This
part explains how to use EasyScopeX to control an oscilloscope remotely
via the USB interface.
Control via USB
Use a USB cable to connect the oscilloscope (USB device port) to a PC
(USB host port) running EasyScopeX software.
Installing
the USB device
Set the "Back USB" interface on the oscilloscope to USBTMC. If you have
installed the EasyScopeX or N.I. software, a dialogue box will be displayed
on the PC the first time you connect the oscilloscope. Install the "USB Test
and Measurement Device" program as explained on screen. The steps are
as follows:

Start the EasyScopeX software, click on "add device" to start the search, the
following dialog box will be displayed. Then click "Add" to open the
instrument then select the type of communication: USB or VXI11 // Ethernet
for DOX2000B.
