Update of the
Embedded
Software
Update of the "Firmware" from a USB key.
The embedded software of the oscilloscope can be updated directly from a USB
key. This takes about two minutes.
Steps
1. Connect the USB key containing the new "Firmware" version to the host USB
port on the front panel of the oscilloscope.
2. Press the UTILITY key to access the "Utility" Menu.
3. Press the "Next Page" key to access the third page of the "Utility" menu.
4. Press the "Update Firmware" key.
5. Press the "SINGLE" key to start the update of the embedded software, then follow
the instructions on screen.
6 Power down the oscilloscope, then power it back up and check that the firmware
has in fact been updated. When the firmware has been updated, an auto-
calibration must be run.
Note: Do not power down the oscilloscope during the update.
Pass/Fail
The "Pass/Fail" function is used to compare the evolution of the real time signal to a
pattern (or Mask). If the real time signal matches the predefined pattern, the signal is
rated "Pass"; if not, the signal is rated "Fail".
