Functional description
52 Two-channel digital Oscilloscopes
Functional description
V - DISPLAY system (cont'd)
X-Y format
The XY format is used to analyse phase differences between signals using
Lissajous figures. The XY format plots the voltage in channel CH1 (horizontal X
axis) against the voltage in channel CH2 (vertical Y axis). The oscilloscope uses
the triggerless acquisition mode and displays the data in the form of dots.
The "XY" mode accepts sampling rates ranging from 25KSa/s to 250MSa/s
(1-2.5-5 staging).
Steps
Channel CH1 "Volt/div" and horizontal "POSITION" X, configuration of the
horizontal scale and position.
Channel CH2 "Volt/div" and vertical "POSITION" Y, configuration of the
vertical scale and position.
Turn the "S/div" knob to adjust the sampling rate
The following functions are not available in "XY" mode:
- XY of a real signal and of a trace obtained by mathematical calculation
- Cursor
- Control of trigger
- Horizontal position knob
- Vector type display
- XY with the ≤100ms/div Time Base (Scan mode) or a sampling rate
12.5kSPS
Note: The Autoset function automatically restores the YT format.
