Averaging
The oscilloscope performs several acquisitions, determines the mean, and
displays the resulting trace.
Advantage
You can use this mode to reduce random noise.

Equivalent time
sampling
ETS
The equivalent time sampling (ETS) mode can reach a horizontal resolution
of 20ps (equivalent to 50GSa/s). This mode is suited to the observation of
repetitive signals.
Real time sampling
RTS
The highest real time sampling (RTS) rate is 1GSa/s (DOX2100B &
DOX2070B).
