6-7
For some alarm conditions you are able to select how the alarm is logged and reported.
See Figure 6-7 for a view of the Hardware Alarms Screen. For each alarm, highlight the
Alarm Description, then check the desired Alarm Specification check boxes to the right:
6.2.6 Immediate Alarm Notification
When checked, this will cause the DCM-200 to place an immediate call when this alarm
condition occurs. The DCM-200 must be configured to originate calls for this to work.
Changing this selection will not take effect until DC-2000 has had a chance to
communicate with the remote unit. If this check box is deactivated (grayed out), then
this alarm condition always generates a call and cannot be changed.
6.2.7 Save
If this is check marked, the alarm condition will be saved in the database along with a
time stamp.
6.2.8 Log
If DC-2000 has been configured to record status to a printer, then the alarm condition
and time stamp will be printed for each occurrence.
6.2.9 Alert
If DC-2000 has been configured to record status to a printer, then the alarm condition
will cause the printer’s speaker or buzzer to sound for each occurrence.
