The DCM-200 is capable of reporting several alarm conditions:
“Tamper Detect” Alarm: This alarm occurs when a magnetic switch in the unit senses
when the door has been opened.
“Magnetic Switch” Alarm (often referred to as a “Call Switch” Alarm): There is a set of
jumper pins on the GUTC board labeled “JP4” (See Figures 3-5 and 3-6). When these
pins are shorted together the unit will immediately call in if it has been configured to
originate calls.
“AC Off: Alarm: AC power has been lost.
“AC On: Alarm: AC power has been restored.
“Low Battery” Alarm: The backup lithium battery is nearly depleted.
“Unit Reset” Alarm: The DCM-200 experienced a total reset of its electronics.
“Call Retry” Alarm: The DCM-200 is repeating a call that was unsuccessful earlier,
usually due to cellular network problems or congestion on the DC-2000 system.
