Installation instructions for part 99-8151

CAUTION!

Metra recommends disconnecting the negative bat

tery terminal before beginning any installation, unless the vehicle

manufacturer recommends against so. Please check with your local

Dealership for more information. All accessories, switches, climate

controls panels, and especially air bag indicator lights must be con

nected before reconnecting the battery or cycling the ignition. Also,

do not remove the factory radio with the key in the on position, or the

vehicle running. It would be best to remove the key from the ignition

and then wait a few seconds before removing the factory radio.

99-8151 Dash Disassembly 1. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap and remove the liner from the tray above the center vents. (Figure A) 2. Remove (2) Phillips screws from inside the tray. (Figure B) 3. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap and remove the center trim panel including the vents and tray. (Figure C) 4. Using a panel removal tool, unsnap and remove the switch panel below the radio. Secure the radio brackets to the radio-housing/pocket assembly using the supplied (2) #8 x 3/8” Phillips truss head screws at the top, and (2) #8 x 3/8” Phillips pan head screws at the bottom. (Figure C) 1. Remove the ISO DDIN trim plate from the radio housing, and then insert the pocket trim plate into the bottom opening of the radio housing. (Figure A) 4.

Secure the radio brackets to the radio housing using the supplied (2) #8 x 3/8” Phillips truss head screws at the top, and (2) #8 x 3/8” Phillips pan head screws at the bottom. (Figure A) 2. Carefully using a utility knife, cut the center bar out of the ISO DDIN trim plate.

99-8151 Kit Assembly DIN radio provision with pocket 1. Remove the metal DIN sleeve from the aftermarket radio. 2. Slide the sleeve into the radio housing assembly and secure by bending the metal locking tabs down. (Figure A) 3. Slide the radio back into the sleeve until it clicks in. (Figure B) 4. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio and climate controls.

99-8151 Kit Assembly ISO DIN radio provision with pocket 1. Remove the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio. 2. Secure the ISO snap-in brackets to the radio using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure A) 3. Slide the radio into the radio housing assembly until it snaps into place. (Figure B) 4. Snap the ISO DIN trim plate onto the front of the radio housing assembly. (Figure C) (Figure A) (Figure B) 5.

99-8151 Kit Assembly ISO DDIN radio provision 1. Attach the spacer brackets to the mounting brackets. (Figure A) 2. Slide the radio between the spacer/bracket assembly and align it with the with the holes in the radio. Secure it to the assembly using the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure B) 3. Snap the ISO DDIN trim plate onto the front of the radio housing trim panel. (Figure C) (Figure A) (Figure B) 4.

99-8151 Desmontaje del tablero 1. Utilizando una herramienta de remoción de paneles, suelte a presión y retire el revestimiento de la charola arriba de las rejillas centrales. (Figura A) 2. Quite (2) tornillos Phillips localizados en el interior de la charola. (Figura B) 3. Con una herramienta de remoción de paneles, suelte a presión y retire el panel de la moldura central incluyendo las rejillas y la charola. (Figura C) (Figura A) (Figura C) (Figura E) 4.

Atornille los soportes del radio al ensamble de la carcasa del radio/ cavidad con los (2) tornillos Phillips de cabeza segmentada #8 x 3/8” y (2) tornillos Phillips de cabeza troncocónica #8 x 3/8” en la parte inferior. (Figura C) 1. Quite la placa de la moldura ISO DDIN de la carcasa del radio, y después inserte la placa de la moldura de la cavidad en la parte inferior de la abertura de la carcasa del radio. Atornille los soportes del radio a la carcasa del radio con los (2) tornillos Phillips de cabeza segmentada #8 x 3/8” suministrados en la parte superior y (2) tornillos Phillips de cabeza troncocónica #8 x 3/8” suministrados en la parte inferior. (Figura A) 2. Con una navaja utilitaria, recorte cuidadosamente la barra central del panel de la moldura ISO DDIN.

Deslice la manga al la carcasa del radio ensamble y sujétela doblando hacia abajo las pestañas de metal. (Figura A) 3. Deslice el radio de nuevo en la manga hasta que haga clic. (Figura B) 4. Localice el arnés de cableado de fábrica y el conector de la antena en el tablero y haga todas las conexiones necesarias al radio.

Atornille los soportes a presión ISO al radio usando los tornillos suministrados con el radio. (Figura A) 3. Deslice el radio en el ensamble de la carcasa del radio hasta que entre a presión. (Figura B) 4. Coloque a presión la placa de la moldura ISO DDIN en la parte delantera del ensamble de la carcasa del radio. (Figura C) (Figura A) (Figura B) 5.

Deslice el radio entre el ensamble espaciador/soporte y alinee con los orificios del radio. Sujete al ensamble con los tornillos que vienen con el radio. (Figura B) 3.
