DASH DISASSEMBLY Climate control module preparation 1. Unclip and remove the entire panel above the radio including the a/c vents and keypad, then unplug and remove the panel. (Figure A) 2. Remove (2) Phillips screws securing the radio/climate control panel, then unclip and remove the panel. (Figure B) 3. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio chassis, then unplug and remove the chassis. (Figure C) Continue to Kit Preparation KIT PREPARATION 1.

KIT ASSEMBLY ISO DIN radio provision with pocket ISO DDIN radio provision 1. Attach the pocket to the radio bracket / climate control assembly using the (4) #8 x 3/8” Phillips screws provided. (Figure A) 1. Slide the radio into the radio bracket/ climate control assembly and then secure with the screws supplied with the radio. (Figure A ) 2. Remove the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio. 3. Slide the radio into the assembly and then secure with the screws supplied with the radio.

CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE Group 1 harness for models without factory NAV For models without a BOSE amplifier: From the 7633 harness to the aftermarket radio: • Connect the Black wire with a ring terminal to chassis ground. • Tape off and disregard the following (1) wire, it will not be used in this application: White/Blue • Connect the Green/Purple wire with a female bullet connector, to the Green/Purple wire with a male bullet connector.

CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE (CONT.) For models with a BOSE amplifier: • Disregard the Yellow RCA jack labeled “From DVD”, it will not be used in this application. From the 7633 harness to the aftermarket radio: • If an aftermarket backup camera or external video source is desired to be displayed onto the factory display screen instead of the factory backup camera, connect the Yellow RCA jack labeled “Backcam” to the desired source. • Connect the Black wire with a ring terminal to chassis ground.

CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE (CONT.) Group 2 harness for models with factory NAV From the 32-pin harness with RCA jacks to the aftermarket radio: From the 7633 harness to the aftermarket radio: • Connect the Red and White RCA jacks labeled “AUX Input” to the audio AUX-IN jacks of the aftermarket radio. • Connect the Black wire with a ring terminal to chassis ground. Note: Also connect the aftermarket radios ground wire to chassis ground. • Connect the Yellow wire to the battery wire.

INSTALLING THE INTERFACE With the key in the off position: For models without factory NAV: 1. Connect the 20-pin to 24-pin “interface to display” harness into the Axxess interface, and then to the 24-pin display harness in the vehicle. 2. Connect the 14-pin to 14-pin “interface to climate control” harness into the Axxess interface, and then to the 14-pin connector in the left side of the radio trim panel with climate controls. 3.

FINAL ASSEMBLY 1. Locate the factory antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra and/or Axxess. 2. Before using the kit it must be programmed. Attention! If the interface loses power for any reason, the following steps will need to be performed again. Also, if installing an ASWC-1 connect it after you program and test the interface/radio, with the key in the off position. a.

Miscellaneous screen Camera Input screen • Go to - SETTINGS>MISCELLANEOUS • Go to – SETTINGS> MISCELLANEOUS>CAMERA INPUT • This menu allows access to the following options: • Camera Input / Reverse Camera Lines / Select Vehicle / Select Display Type / System Information If an aftermarket backup camera is desired to be displayed onto the factory display screen, select “Aftermarket Backup Cam”. • If retaining the factory backup camera, select “OEM Backup Cam”.

SCREEN OPERATION (CONT.) Select Vehicle screen System Information screen • Go to - SETTINGS>MISCELLANEOUS>SELECT VEHICLE • • Select “2009-2014 Maxima” for the vehicle selection. Go to - SETTINGS>MISCELLANEOUS>SYSTEM INFORMATION • This screen will show the current software of the product. • Please have this information available when calling Tech Support for assistance. REV.
