DASH DISASSEMBLY 1. Unclip and remove the trim panel surrounding the shifter, including the cup holders. (Figure A) 2. Remove (2) 9/32” screws from the bottom of the radio/climate control panel, then unclip and remove the panel. (Figure B) 3. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio chassis to the vehicle. Slide the chassis out, then unplug and remove. (Figure C) (Figure A) (Figure B) (Figure C) (Figure D) 4. Remove (4) Phillips screws securing the radio display to the vehicle.

KIT ASSEMBLY ISO DIN radio provision with pocket 1. Attach the pocket to the radio brackets using (4) #8 x 3/8” Phillips truss-head screws provided. (Figure A) 2. Remove the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio. 3. Slide the radio into the bracket/pocket assembly, then secure it using screws supplied with the radio. CONNECTIONS From the 16-pin harness to the aftermarket radio, connect the: From the 5853 harness to the aftermarket radio, connect the: • Red wire to the accessory wire. • Black wire to the ground wire. • Blue/White wire to the amp turn on wire, if the vehicle is equipped with a Shaker/Shaker-Pro sound system. • Yellow wire to the battery wire. • Orange/White to the illumination wire (if applicable). • Green/Black wire to the left rear negative speaker output.

CONNECTIONS For models with a Shaker system: • Connect the White RCA jack labeled “SUBWOOFER”, to the subwoofer out jack. • Disregard the Red RCA jack labeled “CENTER CHANNEL”, it will not be used in this application. (CONT.) 3.5mm jack - steering wheel control retention: The 3.5mm jack is to be used to retain audio controls on the steering wheel control. • For models with a Shaker Pro system: • Connect the Red RCA jack labeled “CENTER CHANNEL”, to the subwoofer out jack.

INSTALLATION PROGRAMMING 1. Connect the 16-pin harness into port A. 1. Open the driver’s door, and keep open during the programming process. 2. Disregard port B, it will not be used in this application.. 2. Cycle the ignition on and wait until the climate control lights turn blue. 3. Connect the 5853 harness into port C, and then to the wiring harnesses in the vehicle. 4. Port D is a Micro-B USB input for updating the interface.

FINAL ASSEMBLY 1. Slide the radio into the dash. Before doing so, remove a module from the sub-dash prohibiting the radio from sliding in, then relocate it downward. The mounting brackets attached to the module will need to be bent outward to make room for the radio. 2. Secure the completed assembly to the dash using the factory screws, then reassemble the dash in reverse order of disassembly using the 99-5853CH radio trim panel.

DESMONTAJE DEL TABLERO 1. Desenganche y retire el panel de moldura que rodea la palanca de velocidades, incluyendo los portavasos. (Figura A) 2. Quite los (2) tornillos de 9/32” de la parte inferior del panel del radio/control del clima, y luego desenganche y quite el panel. (Figura B) 3. ENSAMBLE DEL KIT Provisión de radio ISO DIN con cavidad 1. Sujete la cavidad a los soportes del radio usando los (4) tornillos Phillips #8 de 3/8” de cabeza segmentada suministrados. (Figura A) 2. Quite la manga de metal DIN y el anillo de moldura del radio de mercado secundario. 3. Deslice el radio hacia adentro del ensamble del soporte/cavidad y después sujételo usando los tornillos suministrados con el radio. CONEXIONES Del arnés de 16 pins al radio de mercado secundario, conecte el: • Cable rojo al cable de accesorios. • Cable azul/blanco al cable de encendido del amplificador, si el vehículo está equipado con un sistema de sonido Shaker/Shaker-Pro. • Cable anaranjado/blanco al cable de iluminación. (si aplicable) • Cable gris con la salida positiva de la bocina derecha delantera. • Cable gris/negro con la salida negativa de la bocina derecha delantera.

CONEXIONES Para modelos con sistema Shaker: • Conecte el conector RCA blanco rotulado “SUBWOOFER” al conector de salida del subwoofer. • Ignore el conector RCA rojo rotulado “CENTER CHANNEL”; no se utilizará en esta aplicación. INSTALACIÓN PROGRAMACIÓN 1. Conecte el arnés de 16 pins en el puerto A. 1. Abra la puerta del conductor y manténgala abierta durante el proceso de programación. 2. No tenga en cuenta el puerto B, no se utilizará en esta aplicación. 2. Encienda el encendido y espere hasta que las luces de control de clima se vuelvan azules. 3. Conecte el arnés 5853 al puerto C y luego a los arneses de cableado del vehículo. 4. El puerto D es una entrada USB Micro-B para actualizar la interfaz.

MONTAJE FINAL MENÚ DE CONFIGURACIÓN 1. Deslice la radio en el tablero. Antes de hacerlo, retire un módulo del tablero secundario que prohíbe que la radio se deslice hacia adentro, luego vuelva a colocarlo hacia abajo. Los soportes de montaje unidos al módulo deberán doblarse hacia afuera para dejar espacio para la radio. Los botones del volante se utilizarán para ingresar, navegar y realizar cambios en el menú. La visualización de las perillas de clima se utilizará para ver el menú. 1.
