CAUTION!

All accessories, switches, climate controls panels, and

especially air bag indicator lights must be connected before cycling

the ignition. Also, do not remove the factory radio with the key in the

on position, or while the vehicle is running.

99-5835G Dash Disassembly For models without a 4.2-inch display screen: 1. Unclip the dash panel above the radio. (Figure A) 2. Remove (2) screws securing the factory radio/trim panel. (Figure B) 3. Unclip the factory radio/trim panel from the dash, unplug and remove. (Figure B) Continue to kit preparation For models with a 4.2-inch display screen: 1. Unclip and remove the trim panel above the 4.2-inch display screen. (Figure A) 2.

99-5835G Kit Preparation From the factory radio trim panel: To the 99-5835G radio trim panel: 1. Remove (1) screw per vent, then unclip and remove the vent. (Figure A) 2. Unclip and remove the hazard switch. (Figure B) 3. For models without a 4.2-inch display screen only: If the vehicle is equipped with a passenger airbag light, unclip and remove the light. 1. Secure the vents to the panel using the (2) #8 x 3/8” Phillips pan-head screws provided. (Figure C) 2.

99-5835G Kit Assembly ISO DIN radio provision with pocket ISO DDIN radio provision 1. Attach the pocket to the radio brackets using the (4) #8 x 3/8” Phillips truss-head screws. (Figure A) 1. Attach the radio brackets to the radio using screws supplied with the radio. (Figure A) 2. Remove the metal DIN sleeve and trim ring from the aftermarket radio. 3. Slide the radio into the completed assembly and then secure it using the screws supplied with the radio.

99-5835G Final Assembly 1. Cut the shaded portion from the sub-dash of the vehicle to allow the radio to fit. (Figure A) 2. Locate the factory wiring harness and antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Metra recommends using the proper mating adapter from Metra and/or AXXESS. Test the radio for proper operation. 3. Secure the radio into the dash. Remove shaded area 4.

99-5835G Desmontaje del tablero Para modelos sin pantalla de 4.2 pulgadas: 1. Desenganche del panel del tablero de arriba del radio. (Figura A) 2. Quite los (2) tornillos que sujetan el radio de fábrica/panel de moldura. (Figura B) 3. Desenganche la radio de la fábrica /el panel del ajuste del tablero, desenchufe y quite. 99-5835G Ensamble del kit Provisión de radio ISO DDIN Provisión de radio ISO DIN con cavidad 1. Coloque los soportes del radio en la radio con los tornillos suministrados con el radio. (Figura A) 1.
