INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Attention! Let the vehicle sit with the key

out of the ignition for a few minutes before

removing the factory radio. When testing the

aftermarket equipment, ensure that all factory

equipment is connected before cycling the

key to ignition.

DASH DISASSEMBLY 1. Unclip, unplug, and remove the hazard/ door-lock switch. (Figure A) 2. Unclip the a/c vent panel and slightly pull it out just enough to disconnect the temperature control cable, then remove the panel. (Figure B) 3. Remove (2) screws securing the storage pocket on the top of the dash, then unclip and remove the pocket. (Figure B) Continued on the next page (Figure A) 2 (Figure B) 1.800.221.0932 | MetraOnline.

DASH DISASSEMBLY (CONT.) 4. Remove (2) downward facing screws securing the radio/climate control panel, then unclip, unplug, and remove the panel. (Figures D & E) 5. Remove (2) screws securing the radio. Slide the radio out, then unplug and remove the radio. (Figure E) 6. Connect the climate control extension harnesses (4) to the harnesses removed in step 3, then route the extension harnesses to the storage pocket location. KIT PREPARATION Climate Control Relocation Sub-Dash Modification 1. Remove (7) screws securing the climate controls to the radio/climate control panel, then remove the climate controls. (Figure A) 4. Cut the shaded area in the sub-dash to allow room for the aftermarket radio. The sub-dash panel may come out to perform this task. There are (3) nuts securing the sub-dash panel. Note that the top screw will have to be removed and left out. (Figures D, E & F) 2.

KIT ASSEMBLY 1. Secure the radio brackets to the radio using either the screws supplied with the radio, or the radio screws provided. (Figure A) (Figure A) REV.

CONNECTIONS From the 9324 harness to the aftermarket radio: • Connect the Black wire to the ground wire. • Connect the Yellow wire to the battery wire. • Connect the Red wire to the accessory wire. Note: There will an accessory wire from the ASWC-1 harness to connect as well. • Connect the Blue wire to the amplifier turn-on wire. • If the aftermarket radio has an illumination wire, connect the Orange wire to it. • Connect the Gray wire to the right front positive speaker output.

INSTALLATION With the key in the off position: 1. Connect the 9324 harness to the 9324 interface, and then to the wiring harness in the vehicle. 2. Connect the ASWC-1 harness to the ASWC-1 interface, and then to the 9324 interface. 3. Locate the factory antenna connector in the dash and complete all necessary connections to the radio. Use the antenna adapter provided to adapt the factory antenna connector to the aftermarket radio.

PROGRAMMING 1. Press and hold the Volume Up button on the steering wheel. L.E.D. Feedback 2. Turn the ignition on, the L.E.D. in the ASWC-1 interface will start flashing rapidly, which means the ASWC-1 interface is looking for the vehicle and the radio. The (18) Red L.E.D. flashes represent the brand of radio the ASWC-1 interface believes it is connected to. Each flash count represents a different radio Manufacturer.

FINAL ASSEMBLY 1. Secure the radio assembly to the dash using the factory screws. 2. Attach the panel clips provided to the radio trim panel. 3. Clip the radio trim panel to the dash, then secure it using the factory screws. 4. Reconnect the temperature control cable, then clip the a/c vent panel back to the dash. 5. Reconnect the hazard/door-lock switch to the vehicle, then clip it back to the dash to complete the installation. 10 1.800.221.0932 | MetraOnline.
