TYPE BW ATTIC SHIELD
- The Type BW attic shield is used on a single-story
AVS building or on the top story of a multi-story
building for Type BW gas vent. A 26-gauge
galvanized sleeve should extend from the top of
the ceiling plate into the attic. A Type BW attic
shield is required by Los Angeles Code and UMC.
FLASHINGS AND STORM COLLAR
FLAT TO 5/12 PITCH FLASHING
- The flashing is installed either parallel or perpendicular to the roof ridge, and fits roof pitches flat to 5/12.
OVAL STORM COLLAR
- The storm collar serves as a counter flashing and requires mastic to seal to the vent pipe.
ROUND TO OVAL ADAPTER
- The round-to-oval adapter is used for conversion of vent from round to oval.
OVAL TO ROUND ADAPTER
- The oval-to-round adapter is used for conversion of vent from oval to round.
