Most accidents that result from the operation and maintenance of Nailers are caused by the failure to observe basic safety rules or precautions.
English SAFETY GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference. The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool. 1) Work area safety a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed. b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. English SAFETY — Continued NAILER SAFETY WARNINGS WARNING – – – Always assume that the tool contains fasteners. Careless handling of the nailer can result in unexpected firing of fasteners and personal injury. Do not point the tool towards yourself or anyone nearby. Unexpected triggering will discharge the fastener causing an injury. Do not actuate the tool unless the tool is placed firmly against the workpiece.
English SAFETY — Continued 5. ALWAYS WEAR EAR AND HEAD PROTECTION. Always wear ear protection to protect your ears from loud noise. Always wear head protection to protect your head from flying objects. 6. BEWARE OF THE TOOL'S KICKBACK. Do not approach the top of the tool with your head etc. during operation. This is dangerous because the tool may recoil violently if the nail currently being driven in comes into contact with a previous nail or a knot in the wood. 7. OPERATE WITHIN PROPER TEMPERATURE RANGE.

In such case, charge it up immediately. 2. If the tool is overloaded, the motor may stop. In this case, release the switch of tool and eliminate causes of overloading. After that, you can use it again. 3. If the battery is overheated under overload work, the battery power may stop. In this case, stop using the battery and let the battery cool.

English Battery CHARGING METHOD NOTE Before plugging into the receptacle, make sure the following points. Pilot lamp ○ The power source voltage is stated on the nameplate. ○ The cord is not damaged. WARNING Do not charge at voltage higher than indicated on the nameplate. If charged at voltage higher than indicated on the nameplate, the charger will burn up. 1. Connect the charger’s power cord to a receptacle. When the power cord is connected, the charger’s pilot lamp will blink in red.
English (2) Regarding the temperature of the rechargeable battery. The temperatures for rechargeable batteries are as shown in the Table 3, and batteries that have become hot should be cooled for a while before being recharged. English (1) Check Remaining battery level When pressing the battery indicator switch, the battery indicator shows Remaining battery level by status of LED lamp as below. Status of indicator Battery Remaining Power The battery remaining power is enough. The battery remaining power is about half. The battery remaining power is nearly empty. Recharge the battery as soon as possible. NOTE ● Do not give a strong shock to the switch panel or break it. It may lead to a trouble.
English TESTING THE NAILER Handle Battery DANGER ● Operators and others in work area MUST wear safety glasses with side shields which conforms to ANSI Z87.1 specifications. WARNING ● Never place your face, hands or feet near firing head when using. CAUTION ● Use caution not to throw the push lever tip onto wood. Before actually beginning the nailing work, test the Nailer by using the checklist below. Conduct the tests in the following order.
English (3) Push the nails against the uneven surface of the magazine and insert the nail tips as far as they will go into the groove of the magazine. 1 Push into groove Nail Removing the nails: (1) Press the stop lever and pull out the magazine cover. (2) Remove the nails from the blade guide or magazine.
English ● Choice of triggering method is important. Please read and understand “METHODS OF OPERATION” found below. ● Never place your face, hands or feet near firing head when using. ● Do not drive nails on top of other nails or with Nailer at too steep of an angle; nails can ricochet and hurt someone. ● Do not drive nails into thin boards or near corners and edges of workpiece. Nails can be driven through or away from workpiece and hit someone.
English ADJUSTING THE NAILING DEPTH WARNING (1) Removing the hook. Remove the screws fixing the hook with Philips screw driver. Make sure that the trigger is turned off and the battery has been disconnected before adjusting the adjuster. The nailing depth can be adjusted by rotating the adjuster. Adjuster Deep Shallow Fire a test nail and if it is driven in too deep, adjust the depth by rotating the adjuster toward the shallower ( mark).
English (1) Remove all remaining fasteners and battery from nailer. (2) Attaching and detaching the nose cap The nose cap is attached simply by pressing it onto the nose. Holding the nose cap with the holes toward the front of the power tool, match the three protrusions with the three notches in the nose. (4) After removing the nose cap, insert it onto the shaft of the magazine stay through the holes.
English (4) Remove any nails, adhesive, fragments, splinters or other foreign objects jammed in the guide groove of the push lever or the blade guide. (2) Remove the nails with the pliers. (3) Remove any nail fragments or dirt that remains in the guide groove with the slotted screwdriver.
English HANDLING THE NAILS NOTE ● Handle the nails carefully. If nails are dropped, the connection may break. Using nails in this condition may cause mis-feeding and jamming. ● Do not expose the nails to the outside air or to direct sunlight for long periods as this may lead to rusting or faulty connection of the nails. When not in use, keep the nails in the box. STORING THE HEXAGONAL BAR WRENCH The hexagonal bar wrench can be stored in the magazine. Store according to the image shown below.
English 4. WARNING LABEL Change the WARNING LABEL if missing or damaged. A new WARNING LABEL is available from a metabo HPT authorized service center. Warning label 5. The battery must explode if it is incinerated. The product that you have purchased contains a rechargeable battery. The battery is recyclable.

Ne jamais s’amuser avec le cloueur. Le cloueur est un instrument de travail. Le respecter. 3.

Quand on charge des clous dans le cloueur, 1) ne pas appuyer sur la gâchette ; 2) ne pas actionner le levier-poussoir ; et 3) diriger le cloueur vers le bas. 15. TENIR LE VISAGE, LES MAINS ET LES PIEDS ÉLOIGNÉS DE LA TÊTE DE CLOUAGE PENDANT L’UTILISATION. Ne jamais approcher le visage, les mains ou les pieds à moins de 8 po (200 mm) de la tête de clouage.

Français MÉCANISME ANTI-ÉJECTION À VIDE Ce cloueur est équipé d’un mécanisme anti-éjection à vide qui empêche tout déclenchement de la détente lorsque le magasin est vide. La détente ne peut plus être actionné lorsqu’il reste moins de 20 clous. Après l’éjection d’une recharge de clous, il reste environ 20 clous dans le magasin, mais si une nouvelle recharge est insérée, le clouage peut se poursuivre.
