These operating instructions contain important information for assem-
bly, use, and safety! People unfamiliar with these operating instructions
should not use the UV-C Unit 144 W PL!
Range of use
The UV-C Unit 144 W PL is designed to clean dirty pond water (algae and
bacteria build up). The UV-C Unit 144 W PL is intended for professional
application, such as in the fishery industry or for very large pond systems,
from approx. 75m

water volume.
The UV-C Unit 144 W PL should not be used in or for swimming pools!
Technical data is provided on the identification plates.
Safety precautions
Note: UV-C radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin! Only operate the
UV-C lamp with the equipment closed.
Attention: Use in and around ponds is only permitted if the equipment is
installed in accordance with valid regulations. Please contact an electri-
cian.
The UV-C Unit 144 W PL can only be attached using a residual current
protection switch (RC switch, 30mA) to a normal protection contact
socket.
The connection plug socket and ballast (only to be used inside) must be
in a waterproof area, at least 2 m from the edge of the pond.
Prior to carrying out any maintenance work on the UV-C Unit 144 W PL,
disconnect all power supply plugs from all other electrical appliances
(garden or fish pond), disconnecting all electrical appliances from the
electricity mains.
The UV-C Unit 144 W PL must not be operated if there are people in the
water!
Important: Please follow the enclosed operating instructions for the
four UV-C burners, especially the safety instructions!
