4 For systems where the MMP40 reset button has not been
used, wait ten seconds and then power up the system.
Result:
Diagnostic routines are shown followed by a pause of
approximately five minutes while the tape is automatically
retensioned.
5 When retensioning begins, the following message is displayed.
Tape retension
Note:
Tape retension takes about 5 minutes, and it takes
between 5 and 10 minutes to load the software.
Result:
Once loaded, the System Installation and Modification
Menu is displayed.
Note: This menu is the same for all platforms.

On Card Option systems, reenable the AML link
after turning on the power to Meridian Mail.
