Chapter 4 Assembling the System
DUA II Configuration
Connecting the optical cables from the DUA II to Input B and Output B
allows the DUA II to get a sync signal directly from the Mykerinos card. Input
A and Output A on the Mykerinos card are S/PDIF only and do not support a
sync signal.
The DUA II has eight DIP switches which are located along the right side of
the DUA II unit. For the DUA II to work properly with Avid|DS, these DIP
switches must be configured as follows:
Switches 1 to 4 must be ON (down)
Switches 5 to 8 must be OFF (up)
On the front panel of the DUA II, you must also have the following settings:
Synchronization (ODI): Allows the DUA II to detect a sync signal from
the Mykerinos card via the optical cables.
Sample rate (Auto Detect): Press and hold the red sample rate button for
approximately one second to enable automatic sample rate detection of
the audio format. Once the DUA II has detected and locked to the sample
rate of the sync signal, the LED indicating the sample rate turns green.
For more information on configuring your DUA II, refer to the vendor
documentation.
