4. On the Internet, go to www.ibm.com.
5. From the menu on the IBM website, click Support & Downloads.
6. From Search the Technical Support Database by Category, choose
Desktop computing.
7. From Product Family, choose IntelliStation.
8. From Product Type, choose IntelliStation Z Pro.
9. From Limit Results by Type of Support, choose Downloadable files.
10. From Limit Results by Download, choose Updates.
11. From Limit Results by Type of Updates, choose BIOS (system).
A driver for IBM Intellistation Z Pro (Type 6866) - Flash BIOS update
diskette version PFJT47A will be found.
12. Double-click on this link, and follow the instructions to download and
install the updated BIOS.
When you install the BIOS, you will be asked specific questions about
your system. You normally only need to specify the country you are from
and answer No to all of the remaining questions.
13. After the BIOS upgrade, proceed to Installing the Avid Drivers on page 68.
The IBM website provides detailed instructions on how to download
the BIOS and install it on your system. You will need a formatted
floppy diskette to download and install the system BIOS. The
following procedure provides step-by-step instructions as an
example of how you can find the BIOS on the IBM website.
IBM can change their website at any time causing the following
procedure to be invalid.
Do not turn off power while the system BIOS is being reprogrammed!
