Back Panel Overview
On the back panel of your base unit, up to four expansion cards are installed
for use with Avid|DS. The back panel also contains ports for connecting the
mouse, keyboard, monitors, and software protection key (dongle).
Workstation Cards The following illustration shows the placement of cards in the expansion slots
of a deskside workstation. The table following the illustration provides more
detailed information.

AGP slot: Wildcat video
PCI slot 1: Used by the Wildcat 6210.
These connectors are not used in Avid|DS.
PCI slot 3: Mykerinos audio card
PCI slot 5: Avid Equinox PCI card
PCI slot 2: Empty.
PCI slot 4: Empty
PCI slot 6: Adaptec 39160 for standalone storage
(HD) or ATTO optical Fibre Channel card when
connected to Avid Unity™ MediaNetwork (SD)
On a rack mount workstation, the AGP slot is to the left, and the
PCI slot 6 is to the right when viewing the back of the workstation
base unit.
