The Mambo Micro powerchair is part of the Mercury range, and has been designed and
manufactured to provide a comfortable and secure yet affordable solution for some mobility
problems. The Mambo Micro is a lightweight and highly manoeuvrable powerchair which is
tailored for indoor and short-range use yet suitable for some outdoor applications.
Mercury is a brand of Medicare Technology. Medicare Technology is an ISO 9000 and ISO 13845
certified manufacturer of medical devices and mobility aids. Other products in the Medicare
Technology range include manual powerchairs, powerchairs, electrically adjustable beds, walking
aids, bathlifts and bathing equipment, rise recline armchairs and many more mobility and daily
living aids. All Medicare Technology medical devices are CE marked.
2. Safety Notice
2.1 Before Driving
The user needs to be familiar with the use and operation of the vehicle before driving. Please bear
the following safety notices in mind at all times:
• Ride on the pavement and pedestrian areas only. The powerchair should only be used on
roads where no pavement exists or to cross the road.
• The powerchair should not be driven on dual carriageways or motorways.
• Be careful when driving your powerchair in low light. It has not been designed for use at
night.
• The top speed of the powerchair is 3.5mph / 5.6kph
Practice operating your powerchair
• Before using the powerchair, familiarize yourself with the operation of your powerchair. In
order to avoid accidents with your powerchair during use, bear in mind driving motions such
as accelerating, braking, turning, reversing and gradients.
• Set the maximum speed gauge to a low setting.
• For safety, ensure somebody accompanies you when driving on the pavement for the first
time.
• Only use the higher speed settings when you are confident that you can easily operate and
control the powerchair.
The Mambo Micro powerchair can only be used by one person at a time
• Do not carry passengers on your powerchair (including children)
