General maintenance information GENERAL MAINTENANCE INFORMATION This Service Guide indicates the scheduled maintenance required for your vehicle. Proper maintenance guards against major repair expenses resulting from neglect or inadequate maintenance, and may help increase the value you receive when you sell or trade your vehicle. Service information and supporting specifications are provided in the “Owner Guide”. Any adverse conditions should be brought to the attention of your dealer or qualified service technician for expert service advice as soon as possible.
Owner maintenance checks AT LEAST MONTHLY: ❑ Check the tire pressure-check tires when cold, not after a long drive. ❑ Check coolant level in the coolant recovery reservoir. ❑ Check operation of lamps, horn, turn signals, windshield wipers and washer, and hazard warning flasher. ❑ Check for fluid leaks by inspecting the surface beneath your vehicle for oil, coolant, or other fluid drips. Clean water from the air conditioning system is normal.
Owner maintenance checks AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR: ❑ Inspect air conditioning system and A/C compressor operation (if equipped). ❑ Lubricate door, hood, and liftgate hinges and checks. ❑ Lubricate door, hood and liftgate locks and latches. ❑ Lubricate door rubber weatherstrips. ❑ Clean battery and terminals, check electrolyte level on low maintenance battery.
