18. Install the starter bendix, bendix spring, and pinion stopper. Secure the starter bendix assembly with a circlip. Push the
pinion stopper up to capture the circlip.

Starter Motor Installation
1.
Ensure that the rubber isolator is around the body of the starter motor. Position the isolator bracket over the isolator, and
move the starter motor and isolator bracket into place.
2. Attach the starter motor to the engine with two mounting screws. Tighten the screws to the specified torque.

3. Attach the isolator bracket to the engine with two screws. Tighten the screws to the specified torque.

4. Connect any connectors and install any components removed to access the port side isolator bracket screw.
5.
Attach the positive cable to the starter motor, using a lockwasher and nut. Tighten the nut to the specified torque.
6. Attach the negative cable to the starter motor, using a lockwasher and nut. Tighten the nut to the specified torque.
