Less is more with Synnes Chair, a distinctively modern take on the classic Scandinavian din-ing
chair from one of the region’s most exciting young designers, Falke Svatun. Th
e chair came
to life when the Norwegian had the idea of inserting a sheet of plywood into the seat, with a
curved backrest to maximize sturdiness. A graduate of Norm Architects and Søren Rose
Studio, Falke established his studio in 2014.
About the Designer
Falke Svatun is a Norwegian designer based out of Copenhagen. He has previously
worked for the renowned design studios Norm Architects and Søren Rose Studio. One of his
first solo designs is the Shadow Play Tealight for Menu A/S.
