CORNER INSTALLATION USING THE REAR VENT OPTION

NOTE: The horizontal run of vent pipe must be level or have a ¼" rise for every 1' of run toward the termina-

tion. Never allow the vent to run downward. This will cause high temperatures and the possibility of a fire.

USING OFFSETS AND RETURNS: A single 45

horizontal elbow is already calculated into the allowable

maximum 9” horizontal run. NO OTHER ELBOWS OR OFFSETS ARE ALLOWED!

CAUTION: Be sure to maintain 1" air space to any combustibles (2" above horizontal runs). The DXV-35

Fireplace must be installed by a qualified service person.

Mendota recommends the use of Duravent 5”X 8” coaxial pipes and fittings. Duravent components pro-

vide the most flexibility since Duravent horizontal termination caps slide fully over the 6” or 9” straight

pipe section used.
