STEP 1: Measure and cut legs and sides Using a 2”x2”x 6’ board, cut four desk legs at 10” and two outer sides at 9-13/16” with a miter saw. STEP 2: Cut Front and inner sides Using the 1”x 3”x 6’ board, cut the desk front at 21”, the back at 21”, and two inner sides at 11-5/16” with a miter saw. NOTE: Be sure to include two inside pieces (see photo) to help create the needed frame, then fasten the bottom of your table.

STEP 6: Sand Take a moment to sand any rough edges from all of your cut pieces to ensure they have smooth surfaces. STEP 7: Route and Sand Route a round-over edge on the desk top and back trim using your router and round-over bit. Route ONLY three sides of the desk top and back trim (two edges and one long side of the back trim; two short sides and one long side of the desk top). The back side will need to be square to match the top back trim as this will provide a nice smooth look to your desk.

STEP 11: attach leg and side pieces Attach the leg and side pieces to the side of the desk body using the finish screws (GRK #8 1-1/4” finish screws). STEP 12: assemble back trim Assemble the top back trim to the top back of the desk with the routed edges up. Use finish screws (GRK #8 1-1/4” finish screws) to attach from the top. STEP 13: Stain Stain the desk top as well as the rest of the body.
