On the 1" x 24" x 36" edge glued board, measure a

length of 26 inches. Make a mark and cut using a

circular saw.

On the same board, measure a width of 20 inches. Make a

mark and cut using a circular saw.

STEP 3: Sand Sand the board using a 150-grit sanding sponge. Wipe the board clean with a tack cloth before proceeding to the next grit level. Sand the board using a 220-grit sanding sponge. Wipe away all the sanding dust with a tack cloth before applying stain. STEP 4: Apply Wood Stain Apply the wood stain of your choice to the board with a polyester trim paint brush. Stir the wood stain with a stir stick before applying. Wipe the excess stain away with cleaning rags and let dry before proceeding.

STEP 8: Secure Hooks Secure the hooks into place using a screwdriver and screws. STEP 9: Tape & Drill Tape the bracket guide for the towel bar onto the bottom half of the board with painter's tape. Pre-drill the holes where indicated on the bracket guide. STEP 10: Secure Towel Bar Screw the towel bar brackets into the board. Attach the towel bar to the brackets. STEP 11: Mark for Eyelets Measure 9 inches down the back side of the board and mark the location for the eyelet screws.
